Paul Mescal and Melissa Barrera starrer musical drama film Carmen‘s trailer was released. Directed by debutant Benjamin Millepied, Carmen is an adaptation of an iconic opera by Georges Bizet.
Carmen is penned by Benjamin Millepied, along with Alexander Dinelaris Jr and Loïc Barrère. The story follows a young woman named Carmen, who is forced to flee her home in the Mexican desert following the brutal murder of her mother. While crossing the border, she meets Aiden, and they fall for each other.

Carmen debuted in 2022 at the Toronto International Film Festival with original music by the acclaimed composer Nicholas Britell. The film also has Rossy de Palma in a prominent role.
Paul Mescal’s popular feature credits include Normal People, The Lost Daughter, God’s Creatures, and Aftersun. The latter project has earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Melissa Barrera is best known for her breakout role in Scream five and Scream six, she’s also appeared in In the Heights and the Netflix series, Keep Breathing.
