BENGALURU: Moderate rain that lashed several parts of Bengaluru past Thursday midnight is expected to continue for two more days, says the weatherman.
“Bengaluru will see a generally cloudy sky with rain or thundershowers very likely for the next two days. Mist cover in early morning hours is likely over some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 28 degree Celsius and 20 degree Celsius, respectively,” said a weather bulletin from Meteorological Centre, Bengaluru.
CS Patil, director of IMD Bengaluru said that the showers are the result of the onset of the north-eastern monsoon. “Such moderate showers are usual during the season and sometimes heavy showers may hit the city as well. The pattern will continue till the first week of December. The precipitation Bengaluru has witnessed has nothing to do with severe cyclonic storm Bulbul that has impacted the Odisha cost,” he added.
On Thursday night, Bengaluru city station recorded a rainfall of 2.9mm and the HAL station recorded 25.2mm rainfall.
