CPI leader insults Pulwama martyrs, questions need for memorial

Setting off a political storm on the first anniversary of Pulwama terror attack, CPI(M) Mohammed Salim on Friday said there wasn’t any need to build a memorial for the CRPF personnel killed in the attack last year as it would only remind of incompetence.

“We don’t need a memorial to remind us of our incompetence. The only thing we need to know is how 80kg of RDX got past the international borders to the ‘most militarised zone on earth’ and exploded in Pulwama,” the CPI(M) leader wrote on Twitter on Friday. Mohammed Salim went on to ask for ‘Justice for Pulwama.
